It’s three birds and two planes

So when there’s a foot of snow covering a couple of inches of ice, and you’ve been inside at the home office for a couple of days, you get excited when the mail comes.  No, like, really excited.

Today’s mail treat was even better though because these two new prints arrived from the fab Rachel Austin.  I ordered them a week or so ago on Etsy (my bank account’s enemy), and I was just tickled to get the signed and numbered prints in today.  I love this series of prints–the original paintings were done on maps, and the print quality is really lovely–you can see all of the texture, and the colors are really vivid.  I love the little pop of red in the flowers, and I wouldn’t be surprised if more of her stuff doesn’t find its way into the house.

The Aaron Brothers penny sale last week afforded some really classic looking frames, and these are almost ready for the entryway!  New art’s fun–now if I can just get the art in the nursery hung.
